  • 24/7 Local Crisis Hotline

    • Staffed by victim advocates 24/7, 365 days a year.

  • One-on-One Crisis Intervention

    • Victim advocates provide support through the hotline and on-site meetings.

  • Criminal Justice Advocacy

    • Advocates act as a liaison between law enforcement and victims.​

  • Court Accompaniment

    • Advocates accompany victims whose cases are taken to court.

  • Legal Advocacy - Temporary Protection Orders

    • Advocates assist victims in obtaining a Temporary Protection Order.

  • Information and Resource Referrals

    • Advocates refer victims to additional resources in the community.

Medical & Forensic 
  • 24/7 Forensic Medical Response and Accompaniment

    • ​Victim advocates work with a victim to determine if a Forensic Medical Exam (FME) is wanted or needed.
  • On-Site Forensic Exams

    • DNA evidence is collected following a sexual assault during an FME. 

Mental Health
  • Counseling and Therapy

    • Free counseling services are available to victims of all ages at the SAC.

Prevention Education & Outreach
  • Prevention Education and Training Seminars

    • SAC staff teach prevention education in Rome and Floyd County schools.
